Dear Walk Leaders
Thank you for all your help with Autumn Footprints Amber Valley Walking Festival this year. We have had some lovely comments. 261 people have taken part in a walk during the two weeks. All were very complimentary, particularly about you. They have enjoyed the countryside being shown the way, the additional information you provided, your kind consideration and the company of likeminded people. Many expressed how beautiful Amber Valley is and how lucky we are to have so many paths to enjoy. I know many of you are leading walks all through the year, so I hope that being part of Autumn Footprints has helped you reach a few more people to join your group. We will be sending out social media on Friday with a few photos too.
Here are a few comments
“Sylvia was very passionate and extremely knowledgeable. She is a great orator and is able to transport us back to the time of the revolution. I was incredible impressed by the walk itself, the visit to the quarry and mill and I learned so much. As she said, why hasn’t anyone made a film about the events.”
“A lovely walk going up to Crich. David was an excellent leader”
“Great introduction to Nordic walking and I will be back for the beginners course”
“All the walks showed the glorious countryside and views of the Amber Valley. The walks offered several new footpaths to me which will give me the chance to explore the area further. The walks were well lead with regular breaks to gather the group together and provide the opportunity for stragglers to catch their breath.”
“Very knowledgeable and reassuring, it was my 1st group guide lead walk and thought it was absolutely fantastic!!!”
“Lots of interesting information given about the area by the leader. Even though, I have lived in the area for 40 years, I have never been down those footpaths.”
“The walk was fantastic. Connecting with nature and speaking with other members in the group was wonderful. Initiatives like this mean so much and support mental and physical health. Ben had planned the perfect route with lots of interesting facts and stories about Florence Nightingale and he made sure to set a pace that suited everyone. I can’t recommend it enough.”
We hope to run Autumn Footprints next year 11 to 26 Sept 2027 (subject to funding be confirmed) and hope that you will join us.
Thank you again for all your help.
