Amber Valley Ramblers Derbyshire

Footpath Maintenance.

Working party on Thursday 19 February,

Location: Roadside Farnah Green

Today in wet and unpleasant conditions seven hardy (perhaps foolhardy) souls worked to clear overhanging growth in North Lane at the Farnah Green end of the Chevin, with dramatic improvements made to the bridle way here, for both horse and man. Well done all.

Working party notes for Tuesday 20 January

We attended a site just off the Brailsford Road, the aim was to clear brash overgrowth and undergrowth ready for the installation of steps to help walkers get to the top of a very steep embankment. Six of us on site, with chainsaw, saws and loppers, we achieved a satisfactory result.
