We started on time from a very wet car park, making our way through the village, then taking the path to Parwich Lees, just past this point we stopped for tea break. Then a few of the group reported to me that the Tissington Trail may be closed for trimming again! Not wanting a repeat of last winter's issue, I decided to cut across the fields towards Newton Grange, but the trail seemed to have a few people on it cycling, so we headed east along the trail for a short time then turning right heading to Tissington for lunch by the pond.
Starting back north-west along the trail and turning right onto the Limestone Way, back to Parwich. The mud was very impressive around Bletch Brook! arriving back at around 1:50.
Apparently, there will be work taking place on the trail from Tissington to Alsop en le Dale for the rest of the year. James.
