Walked to Balidon along the road, then over the fields to the Balidon Church. We had a good look at the lovely little, grade 1 listed church, looked after by the friends of friendless churches. So glad it is kept well .Then up the hill and over to the valley to Pastures lane, where we enjoyed our coffee stop with a lovely view of the Black Rocks. Then along the road to the outskirts of Brassington village. Then a sharp turn right down Nether Lane. Lovely fields and landscape either side of the lane. Beautiful weather, cool enough with a lovely breeze. Lunch near Crow-trees farm.
Along the steep little lane to the lovely village of Bradbourne . Called the twice blessed village because they didn't loose any body in either world war of the 20th Century. Through Bradbourne and down to the main road B 5056. A few yards along this road to the last part of our walk, a long flat footpath to Parwich. This path was notable in crossing a lot of fields of cows, they decided to follow us, making a lot of noise. We managed to get over unscathed. So back Ito Parwich. Good company and walk Jane.
