The mist had largely cleared to low cloud as we set off around the water, but it was still quite cold. No wind though ,so the reservoir was glassy clear, only the ducks and geese making trails in the water as they swam. We set off at a good pace which we continued all the way around. Easy to do, no stiles and the paths have been considerably improved so no mud either! The sky was clearing, as we had coffee and there were even a few glimpses of a watery sunshine, so John and James were able to take some pictures.(Below) We pressed on at a good pace to have our lunch at Millfields, which was very quiet. Actually, we met very few cyclists, runners, nor other walkers all the way around.
Directly after lunch, just as we were about to cross the dam, the mist descended and remained "thick as a bag" until we had got back to Sheepwash, where we finished. A good brisk walk finished at 1.45. Winter is really here now. Jane.
